Ryozango:     a Ryozango, or a deity’s servant, is a witch/warlock turned familiar by human sacrifice. Unlike other familiars, a ryozango is not bound to serve magically gifted individuals but have the choice to link to someone of their own choosing. They also have the ability to conjure up contracts and behave as a guide in combat but can only be summoned by someone within the same teachings or cult they were sacrificed in.

        The Creation of a Ryozango: At a time when the occult was highly popularized in Ergo, there were no limits on how far black magic can go. Ryozangos are created by sacrificing young children who are gifted in the magical arts to a Patron/demon of  that specific cult.  The child is usually tortured over time and the death becomes a slow process which all takes place in one room where a statue of their worshiped demon is present. 

       The idea is to detach the spirit from the body by destroying the form by mutilation, skinning, removal of organs, ect, and then serving the flesh or parts to the demon along with the screams of the child.  If the demon accepts the offering, he will take the soul and give it a new body that would have similar characteristics and abilities of that specific demon.  

         If the demon rejects the offering, the soul and the dismembered body is mutated into a deformed creature filled with corruption and hate. It will walk along the lands as a parasite with no purpose and a shattered soul. It will have the gluttonous appetite to take the lives of others. This failed attempt of a Ryozango is a Ryoguan. 

How to Kill a Ryozango: The only way to kill a Ryozango is through holy exorcism during one of the seven day periods of it's rebirthing process. A well skilled priest (( A recommend high priest or priestess)) must convince or persuade the soul to rest and leave the world of the living.  

 a few steps to kill one permanently : 1: destroy it's current body and make sure the heart stops beating.

2: Wait at least 24 hours of killing the Ryozango and do not exceed past seven days to perform the ceremony 

3: decorate the room with white and make sure the body is covered in all white fabric. The body should be placed on a mattress to represent rest and comfort, please avoid anything that represents death.

4: If you are not highly skilled in white magic or healing, I would recommend you hire a high priestess or priest with experience

5: draw a white arcane circle on the floor and transfer the mattress along with the body inside the circle 

6:  Gently splash holy water onto the resting body while chanting the words "Ryo-de-zune" for no less than thirty minutes or until the circle starts glowing white. During this process, you can persuade or convince the soul why crossing over will be better than reincarnating 

7: The soul will remove it's self from the body and pass over, ending the ceremony.

   

    Ryozangos are known to be stronger and more efficient than the usual familiar. They are mainly used as personal servants or in battle in times of war. The downside is that they are very difficult to command and have the tendency to turn on their masters.

    Saabek is a pathological liar to the point that she never tells the same story twice. If a specific subject is brought up, there will always be a detail switched around or different. This might come from her reminiscing about her past lives and  unable to get her timeline straight. This issue brought the habit of simply making things up without even realizing it.  Other than that, she’s quite nonchalant about many serious issues like death and mainly focuses on the present and future. Saabek takes a liking to individuals who have entertaining and lively personalities and would see them as ‘another story to tell’. Her actions are usually motivated by comfort or luxury, but would much rather prefer spending her time in a peaceful setting. 

[ History ]

    Saabek belonged to the Cult of Sordova who worships a two headed demon snake. Sadly in her childhood, she and a batch of other children the same age as her (( 5 years )) were selected for the Ryozango sacrificial ceremony.  The specific tradition of the Sordova is “shedding it’s skin to become one with the snake”  so Saabek was skinned alive and forced to stay awake through the entire process until she finally died from the torture. The high priestesses chanted their black magic for 12 hours during the entire process.   The Ceremony being a success, she was reborn with a new body with snake like skin forced to serve the same high priestesses that skinned her until she was given a new master. 

    As time went on, she had served under several masters and died several times. Her last master being a young teenager in a foreign land until she decided to go her own way while avoiding the current Holy war going on in Ergo. For the last couple of years she’s been traveling from place to place studying magic that has now been outlawed in her homeland. 

[ Attending the Academy ]

Saabek was recommended by Fae Hawkins to attend the academy.  While taking a trip to Meyrah along with Enyo and Akiza during the great dragon migration, they ran into Saabek who washed up onto Meyran shores. After further interaction and her unique appearance and abilities. Fae offered an invitation to the academy.

[ Ability(ies) / Power(s) ]

Snake form: She has the ability to transform into a 20 ft long cobra 

Reincarnation:  Whenever she dies, her body dissolves and her soul will rest for seven days. When the seven days are up, a new body is formed and she is revived. Whenever a reincarnation happens, it is a different form (( body type, hair style, height, ect )) She cannot keep the same form twice. 

Hypnosis: she has the ability to influence the mind of others to a calm and relaxed state to the point they become drowsy. This only works through eye contact and the help of persuasion. She also must fully concentrate on the action for it to work. Individuals who are strong willed are less likely to be affected. 

Borrowed time: Saabek cannot heal regularly, for whenever she is injured she must take the lifespan of another creature to heal herself. Which comes the term, “borrowed time”.  For Example, If she’s battered up and bruised then she can take three years off a small creature’s lifespan in order to physically heal herself. She can do this with anything that is considered to have 'life' 

Contracts:  Whoever she makes a contract with, would be her current 'master' she must serve under. A contract only works if both parties agree. Her job would be to protect her master at all cost and return will inherit similar magical abilities from that chosen master.  Example, If she makes a contract with a fire mage then she will receive fire type abilities. When the contract is broken, she will no longer have those abilities.   She can only have one master at a time and only make contracts with mortals (( witches/warlocks/ wizards/ sorcerers/ mages/ etc. )) she cannot make contracts with creatures with eternal lifespans or lifespans that naturally exceed way passed a mortal ((dragons/demons/ect ))  

Cobra venom in Cobra form: Her "cobra venom" aint technically cobra venom for her bite will not kill you but instead will only cause paralysis that can last up to a few hours. (( she's owner friendly ))
